Hello everyone. I'm in a debate group and we have a super long question for Luke. My name is Alex and we're fans of the podcast so we aren't coming from a bad place.
On multiple podcasts someone will say something or a discussion will be posed and Luke immediately strawmans the whole discussion and/or argues exceptions to the rule.
For example, the toxic masculinity episode. You've had so many, but specifically the one with Luke on it, there was a question asked "how is it not a sexist term, if women can do the same thing" and Luke goes into how men have treated him a certain way because he's different and that it exist because he's seen it. Not answering the questions at all.
Another example someone comments about using Google to find the truth, you laugh and say "oh because Google knows everything sarcastically", but then on multiple other podcasts you're literally using Google to look facts up.
The most recent and frustrating of them all was the comment episode where someone brings up men create and further society more than women. Luke than proceeds to say that's incorrect and begins to list one or two women who have done something and paints a picture that much of history isn't written properly. Sir, how would you even know this? On a large scale you're saying society is habitually creating typographical errors in history to hide women's contributions? The statement was who creates and keeps society going and who maintains it at a higher degree. We are just bemused why you always take this route instead of properly answering the questions.
One more thing. Earlier in the podcast someone said men get praised way more than women. Luke then says no not true look at Serena Williams but then turns right back around and says women aren't praised in history. It's like you're contradicting yourself on purpose. We aren't trying to pick on Luke because we've written in asking questions about Jessica because she's highly frustrating but she stated she just says stuff so we just tune her out now. It just seems you're intentionally not answering questions, creating bad faith arguments or not comprehending what's being spoken of because emotionally the question bothers you. If you're also "just saying stuff" my debate group would like to know because in order for these conversations to be effective people need to be genuine.

Can the guys rank me? I'm interested in getting back out in dating, but I'm definitely not having luck. I'll go on a date and rarely a second date.
-
Reading through the comments I'll accept some are coming from angry and others from a genuine place. I'll admit society, movements, whatever you want to call it hijacks are feelings and that's a weaknesses of us women where we give our emotions to something we probably shouldn't. I've learned to focus my emotions on my husband, kids, family and friends. Not these movements that try and divide us. I need and respect to a high degree. A specific issue I have with women is the need for women to be angry at men for things that never happened to them. It's always a friend, something they heard or saw on Facebook. If you don't experience said oppression from men than shut up and let the women who has speak. Too much bs we have to swipe thru
-
If you line up 10 men and 10 women, everyone will outwardly respect the men more so than the women. They'll think they're more wise, better at thing, know how to do more. Everyone will outwardly look at women for beauty and babies. If you're a woman you don't want to be constantly looked at only for beauty and reproduction.
-
Besides children can anyone on the panel say what women contribute to society that progresses it forward.

I'm someone who reads alot. Maybe I read to much but my take on the subject at hand is. Going back to the Victorian days men and women's physical differences were emphasized so yes men and women took up roles. Way back when life wasn't easy like it is now. And as a woman physically and mentally, cutting men out all together it would be hard on your own. Men did take a patriarchal view on women and I believe women wanted that. They wanted to be safe, they wanted their children to be safe, they wanted to be provided for. I believe men did what we could to make easy for women to live. But one day women woke up and said "I'm not scared anymore", "I can do things on my know", I can be independent", "I want what you have men". But you can't have what we have because you can't/don't do what we do. And that's where the problem lies is women don't respect men anymore. I think men need to take the throne again and become the patriarchy that it once was.
-
I'd make the statement nobody respects men, not even men. One of the ladies said on the podcast. "Men use to build houses now they complain on the internet". That statement is so pure and she probably didn't even realize it. She's basically saying shut up, I don't care about men's problems, just create, build and innovate. I need the new IPhone.

I agree with Charles that sex is a way women show they like the person they're talking to, but if you don't want to get bamboozled out of sex constantly by men. One thing women should do is have a no sex policy for 4 to 5 dates, but in between and during these dates reassure the guy that you like him, make time for him, do things for him, be considerate of him, make him feel wanted and cared about. Women aren't the women of old. Men have an issue with the constant output and never knowing what the outlook could be. Basic premise, men want sex, women want time and resources. The good men want sex, the bad men want sex. Figure out within those dates what kind guy he is and proceed from there. I'm an old lady I love sitting here with my cat listening to the dating podcasts, but I have strong opinions on women who are in their 30s single, using the excuse that men suck, I'm healing, I'm working on myself. That's crap honey. You have no relationship skills, you suck at relationships, you suck at communications. I use to think it was the men causing problems in dating, it's definitely you women causing the problems now. You think you're men, you think you can do what you want with no repercussions, no crash landing end goal. Believe me you will quickly be 40, 50, 60 years old still blaming men, wondering why you're still single. I know I write paragraphs when I write in, but I believe there's an ignorance in the air you young people don't call out.
-
Don't you think women are just mad they can't or won't do the jobs we can so it hinders them socially and financially
-
I'm from Nigeria to as well Charles. I've traveled to different countries even countries where women seemingly have less power they don't say things like "I hate men", "men are trash". I've never seen the amount of issues men face when dealing with a woman in America vs other countries. It's astonishing.
-
But what if I don't want to be just someone's wife or pregnant with kids. Why should I only be looked at like that and villainize for not wanting what society thinks I should be?
-
Something women need to realize is corporation,s and organizations that are run by men go out of there way to show women they respect them, care about them and want them to succeed. Male sports teams have breast cancer month, they do ad promos supporting single mothers, teachers. There was a video of men walking in heels with the ad copy saying "walk a mile in her shoes". Name one, just one female organization, sport team, a female led business that goes out of there way to target and support men? I'll wait.
-
There was this viral tik tok video of a coach saying his high school basketball team could beat the WNBA champs. You see statements like that, behaviors like that is why it's hard to respect men. Why are you proposing this? To shame us, embrass us, show everyone once again how superior you're to women. That's the problem.
-
Women have issues with men because in this capitalist society you impoverish women. We don't have economic freedom.
-
I wish women like Brooklyn wore her feelings about dating and men on a tshirt so we can identify women like her. You want me to ask you out, take you out, pick where we going, pay for it and you can't explain anything you could bring to the table. **** outta here.
-
I'm putting together my thoughts as I write this, but Charles brought up how men who consider themselves straight might vere to dating or having sex with other men or transgender women to supplement their dating and sex life. A discussion my friends had after listening was if this behavior began to take shape with men how would it affect their relationship with women. Many of the women and men stated that if this happened the value of women would significantly decrease and the open mistreatment of women would skyrocket because men/society wouldn't have any more use them. What do you think.
-
A saying women claim often that bothers me is men can walk home at night whereas a woman can't. First, why the hell are you walking home at night? Second, men are more likely to face violent attacks, also I live in a bad neighborhood who are you to tell me I can walk around safely in my neighborhood at night?
-
I mean Charles stopped short, but seriously what do women do that progresses the world? Serious question. I don't think men are better than women, but definitely men are way smarter mainly because they have to be. We can't just prostitute are self's or start an onlyfans, we have to actually work hard.
-
I have to live in a society in a system that you all created that isn't conducive for me for a woman and you expected me to be happy about that. It's not right
-
Listening to the Brooklyn woman speak and I don't know if she's single, but I can clearly understand why some women single. For years I've been saying the golden girls scenario will take shape. Ain't no way you a 40 year old woman, single, never really had a relationship and say you like or respect men.
-
You know what's wild? We have women on the panel saying they hate men, but as soon as that man turns into a woman he's cool. They treat them with respect. That's how twisted and wild women are.
-
If you don't respect men why should men respect you? Why should men evening care about your fairness or success in the world. Why should we care about any of your rights?
-
The dilemma that women have is they have to make difficult and uncomfortable decisions that men don't have to deal with. You can climb the ladder, make as much money as you want similar to a man, but if you want to have a family that will suffer. A man can do that and still have a family, he doesn't have to worry about getting older. These thoughts fester and come out in anger.
-
Men are praised and held to such a high regard everywhere you go and if a women is being propped up it's because they needed to give a woman praise not because they did anything special. When your sex isn't propped up consistently it makes you feel a certain way.
-
I do agree men don't take us seriously because of some of things we as women do and say. I'm an engineer I have to prove everyday I'm not women like Jessica who believe all men do is oppress women and cause strife in the world. I believe in equality all around and not special treatment. We get it Jessica, you just say things on the podcast, so men will continue to not take us seriously because well you just say stuff.
-
The men never said whether they like women or not.
-
When women grow up seeing their father beat their mom, their father not around, boys in school being mean, men in college being **** or even raping women. It's easy to grow resentment towards the opposite sex.
-
We seek validation from men and that's when you begin to hate men because what we want them to like us for they don't and we get upset about it.
-
Happy New Year's. I'm back. Women trauma vomit on everyone they meet. They only see the world through their trauma. Whereas men get over their trauma and move on. Women constantly going thru trauma is why they hate men even if it's not men's fault.
-
Tell me if I'm wrong, but women hate men because men make the rules of society.
-
This is my first time listening to you guys and I hate to be the one to ask this, but aren't men kinda better than women? Like we aren't better than women as far as life and being a human, but men do everything to keep this world and society going. We occupy most of the position that entail being very smart and intelligent. We occupy a high percentage in science, technology, engineering just to state the obvious. Wouldn't that mean we are better if we do mostly everything better, especially if it has to do with furthering society?
-
Let's go
