I listen so much of you guys. I love your talks. I would like to tell my story. I was raised in a single mother household and we were poor. I met my dad when I was 17 and he told me my mom had him on child support so he was paying but she was to much drama to deal with. Fast-forward to me 34 having a child out of wedlock, being put on child support and the drama of trying to see my child and pay money. My dad paid child support and we were still poor, I have emotional issues that I think stem from him not being there. We talk sometimes but I believe he just wants to focus on the family in front of him. It's very emotional when you guys bring up child support because I would die right now to of had my father with me in my elementary, middle school and high school years to teach me things, show me things. My mom did what she could but I needed my dad. My mom couldn't teach me the things my father could have. If child support is preventing family from coming together then stop it, just stop it. You only care about yourself and you're selfish if you rather have child support vs the father in their life.
